After 13 played minutes, Ekeby's Simon Myhr shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Douglas Bolin came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ekeby reached it. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Samuel Aleberg during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 19 played minutes Skoghall IK got a freekick which was hit by Samuel Aleberg. Ekeby's Birger Göransson couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 20th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Skoghall IK. Henrik Viberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Kennet Nordström to make the kick off. In the 54thth minute of the game Jan-Åke Ekenberg who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ekeby's Arne Arenberg was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Skoghall IK's zone, Henrik Viberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Douglas Bolin came out of the goal and Henrik Viberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Samuel Andreasson hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. When Henrik Viberg came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Ekeby fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Henrik Viberg couldn't finish the play. Jan-Åke Ekenberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 76th minute, Jan-Åke Ekenberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 77th match minute, Ekeby was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nils-Emil Olsman to maneuver through the defense. Arne Arenberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kennet Nordström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Arne Arenberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kennet Nordström in the 81st minute of the match. 83 minutes into the match, Skoghall IK's goalkeeper Douglas Bolin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Henrik Viberg. Ernst Åkerström got his second yellow card in the match during the 84th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 85th match minute, Skoghall IK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ernst Åkerström to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thomas Ström in the 95th minute of play forced Skoghall IK's goalkeeper Douglas Bolin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
