Ingmar Wallander made a fantastic save in the 6th minute, when Knut Ennegren sent off a good shot on target. If Daniel Östensson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. Ingmar Wallander made an important save on a dangerous shot by Knut Ennegren in the 13th minute. 15 minutes into the match, Daniel Östensson notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Ljusdal's Björn Siöman. Björn Siöman was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Daniel Östensson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Björn Siöman having to interfere. Knut Ennegren succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-1 in the 22nd playminute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ture Ekelund during the 33rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 33rd match minute, Ljusdal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ture Ekelund to maneuver through the defense. Charlie Mårtensson's late challenge caught a Åhus's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Charlie Mårtensson helped the player get up and apologised. After 37 played minutes Ljusdal got a freekick which was hit by Charlie Mårtensson. Allan Lindgren took the ball and in the 41 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Björn Siöman. Björn Siöman dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. If Allan Lindgren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Allan Lindgren made the kick off in the second half. Edwin Dalkvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ingmar Wallander having to interfere. Allan Lindgren blasted a shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Björn Siöman having to make a save. Martin Nordlund hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, Åhus's Jörgen Hellström tried to score from far away in the 59th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Roger Wassenius in the 60th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Björn Siöman prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Allan Lindgren in the 63rd minute of play forced Ljusdal's goalkeeper Björn Siöman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Åhus's Allan Lindgren in the 64th minute got a chance for a shot 64th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ljusdal's goalie prevented a goal. Björn Siöman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Allan Lindgren, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. In the 68th minute, Ljusdal's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Daniel Östensson fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Allan Lindgren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Björn Siöman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Daniel Östensson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 74th match minute, Ljusdal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Charlie Mårtensson to maneuver through the defense. If Allan Lindgren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Åhus getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Wiktor Åkesson hit a great ball. When Roger Wassenius fell near the penalty area in the 82nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Åhus's protests and gave Roger Wassenius a yellow card for diving instead. Roger Wassenius kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. The supporters of Ljusdal booed when Åhus was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roger Wassenius didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Allan Lindgren in the 90th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Björn Siöman saved Ljusdal from getting behind. Björn Siöman made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Allan Lindgren sent off a good shot on target. In the 97th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ljusdal's goalkeeper Björn Siöman, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the final whistle sounded Åhus left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Ljusdal.
