After 23 played minutes, Skellefteå RK's Andréas Bergsten shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper William Apelqvist came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Skellefteå RK reached it. Frans Fribäck struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Frans Fribäck could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but William Apelqvist made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Skellefteå RK's Agne Melin got a free kick in the 57th minute. Elof Klint struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 87 minutes into the match, Montrose United's goalkeeper William Apelqvist had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Frans Fribäck. When the match was over Skellefteå RK could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Montrose United throughout the match.
