In the 7th minute Morgan Klint shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ionel Zmărăndache saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Niklas Björling recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Edmund Domalik didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mathias Danielsson went, in the 13th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Jan Karlsson hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Ionel Zmărăndache showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lars-Erik Vennersten, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Jan Karlsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Edmund Domalik tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 38th minute, Niklas Björling hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lars-Erik Vennersten fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ionel Zmărăndache having to interfere. In the 48th minute of the match Södertälje United got a corner. Vegby's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Niklas Björling ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Niklas Björling got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ionel Zmărăndache quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lars-Erik Vennersten made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Södertälje United's Vilgot Liljeström got a free kick in the 55th minute. Jan Karlsson might have been able to make a better finish in the 58th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Edmund Domalik. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jan Karlsson ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mathias Danielsson in the 59th minute of play forced Södertälje United's goalkeeper Edmund Domalik to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edmund Domalik showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mathias Danielsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. After 62 minutes Södertälje United's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Mathias Danielsson who took care of the corner kick. Karl-Magnus Valström's late challenge caught a Södertälje United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Karl-Magnus Valström helped the player get up and apologised. In the 63rd match minute, Vegby was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Karl-Magnus Valström to maneuver through the defense. Morgan Klint blasted a shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ionel Zmărăndache having to make a save. 70 minutes into the game, Jan Karlsson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Edmund Domalik was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Södertälje United's Edmund Domalik played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mathias Danielsson in the 76th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Vegby's Gabriel Lööf got a free kick in the 77th minute. In the 80th minute, Mathias Danielsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mathias Danielsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Vegby's Jan Karlsson got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jan Karlsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Edmund Domalik tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edmund Domalik made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mathias Danielsson in the 88th minute of play. In the 89th minute, Mathias Danielsson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Vegby fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. 93 minutes into the game, Morgan Klint was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Södertälje United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vegby the free kick. The supporters of Vegby booed when Södertälje United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Morgan Klint didn't get a good kick on the ball.
