The tension between the Blue Saints and the Vikbolandet FK players grew even worse after the yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Torsten Nordlund in the 15th minute of play forced Blue Saints's goalkeeper Ralf Rosen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ralf Rosen didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Esbjörn Kruuse went, in the 22nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Ralf Rosen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Karl-Axel Kielberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 42nd minute Esbjörn Kruuse shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ralf Rosen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Esbjörn Kruuse came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Vikbolandet FK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Esbjörn Kruuse couldn't finish the play. After the first half Vikbolandet FK were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Torsten Nordlund received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Ralf Rosen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Leo Bruse had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Leo Bruse might have been able to make a better finish in the 57th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Anton Lundgren. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Leo Bruse ran back to his position shaking his head. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Leo Bruse managed to get in a good position for a shot. Blue Saints's supporters rose to their feet, but Leo Bruse was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anton Lundgren breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some careless play in the Blue Saints defense, Karl-Axel Kielberg kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ralf Rosen. The Blue Saints fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ralf Rosen should have stopped the shot. Anton Lundgren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Olov Engman in the 70th minute of the match. Leo Bruse fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anton Lundgren having to interfere. Anton Lundgren was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. Filip Nordström's late challenge caught a Blue Saints's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Filip Nordström helped the player get up and apologised. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 83rd minute of the game. One of Vikbolandet FK:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Blue Saints:s goal. The referee gave Blue Saints a penalty, 85 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Roy Bröms, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Vikbolandet FK's Anton Lundgren. 2-4. The supporters of Blue Saints booed when Vikbolandet FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Melker Axelsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. 90 minutes into the match, Blue Saints's Leo Bruse sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Anton Lundgren narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After having played for 92 minutes, Torsten Nordlund managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vikbolandet FK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Torsten Nordlund was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Olov Engman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 99th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
