Spectators: 7567 (Terracing: 5676, Seating: 1740, VIP seats: 151) 3 minutes into the match, Oljerikets gubbar IF's goal looked a bit too open when Rune Landin came free, but Oliver Kahn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Victor Skytt charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Victor Skytt the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 7 played minutes IFK Red Bull got a freekick which was hit by Victor Skytt. Douglas Palmquist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ian Skoglund having to interfere. Oljerikets gubbar IF's attentive Emil Nordström managed to snatch the ball when Victor Skytt made a throw-in in the 12th minute of the game. Douglas Palmquist could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Ian Skoglund made a huge save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Douglas Palmquist in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ian Skoglund prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Douglas Palmquists short, quick shot in the 19thth minute got Ian Skoglund to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 20th minute, Rune Landin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Oljerikets gubbar IF's Oliver Kahn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Filiph Pihlberg in the 23rd minute of play. Victor Skytt hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Douglas Palmquist in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ian Skoglund prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Douglas Palmquist who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 34thth minute tested the skills of Ian Skoglund when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 37th minute, Carl Alström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rune Landin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oliver Kahn having to interfere. Rune Landin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Ian Skoglund came out of the goal in the 51st minute to try and stop a shot by Oljerikets gubbar IF's Douglas Palmquist. But to his dismay, Douglas Palmquist quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Ian Skoglund took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Douglas Palmquist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 61st minute Douglas Palmquist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ian Skoglund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Douglas Palmquist recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Douglas Palmquist managed to get in a good position for a shot. Oljerikets gubbar IF's supporters rose to their feet, but Douglas Palmquist was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ian Skoglund breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, Oljerikets gubbar IF's Oliver Kahn got control of the ball when Filiph Pihlberg tried to sneak it across the goal line. Nils-Erik Forsberg got a throw-in 78 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Johannes Björck. If Filiph Pihlberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of IFK Red Bull booed when Oljerikets gubbar IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Osvald Tham didn't get a good kick on the ball. Emil Nordström hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Oljerikets gubbar IF were victorious despite being under pressure from IFK Red Bull for much of the match.
