Verner Vase hit a great ball. 12 minutes into the match, Stjärtpillarnas IK's goal looked a bit too open when Sven-Arne Njurenius came free, but Jan Pliszka reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Stjärtpillarnas IK's Jan Pliszka played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sven-Arne Njurenius in the 15th minute of play. Leif Abrahamsson took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Roland Bäck. Roland Bäck dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Jan Pliszka showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sven-Arne Njurenius, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. With his leg Roland Bäck managed to avoid a goal in the 27thth minute, when Stjärtpillarnas IK's Leif Abrahamsson fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The supporters of Stjärtpillarnas IK booed when LVS FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ingvar Johansson didn't get a good kick on the ball. 39 minutes into the match, Sven-Arne Njurenius had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jan Pliszka. Stjärtpillarnas IK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sven-Arne Njurenius was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. 43 minutes into the match, LVS FC's goal looked a bit too open when Leif Abrahamsson came free, but Roland Bäck reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sven-Arne Njurenius in the 47th minute of play forced Stjärtpillarnas IK's goalkeeper Jan Pliszka to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Leif Abrahamsson to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 62nd minute, Leif Abrahamsson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Stjärtpillarnas IK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. Arman Ivarsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Roland Bäck tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Carl Olsmann hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Rickard Bocklund kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. 83 minutes into the match, Stjärtpillarnas IK's goal looked a bit too open when Verner Vase came free, but Jan Pliszka reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Stjärtpillarnas IK's Robert Nyberg got a free kick in the 84th minute. After some careless play in the Stjärtpillarnas IK defense, Carl Olsmann kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jan Pliszka. The Stjärtpillarnas IK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jan Pliszka should have stopped the shot. After 89 played minutes LVS FC got a freekick which was hit by Axel Söderström. Kjell Galle hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
