Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Oskar Bolin in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mark Sandström prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 11th minute Joakim Landin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mark Sandström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Oskar Bolin came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Venjan BK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Oskar Bolin couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Oskar Bolin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mark Sandström was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. Venjan BK's Frans Trulsson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Venjan BK from getting a goal against them. Joakim Landin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jörgen Olsson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Frans Trulsson made a huge save. After 27 played minutes, Venjan BK's Bengt Walroth shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Mark Sandström came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Venjan BK reached it. Skillinge BK's Mark Sandström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Egon Askelöf in the 29th minute of play. Egon Askelöf spun around in front of the goal 29 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Skillinge BK's goal. When Douglas Hellkvist fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Venjan BK's protests and gave Douglas Hellkvist a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Venjan BK getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Douglas Hellkvist hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Oskar Bolin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venjan BK's supporters rose to their feet, but Oskar Bolin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mark Sandström breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ingemar Rolandsson struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Frans Trulsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Skillinge BK. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jörgen Olsson got free with Frans Trulsson in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 46 minutes into the game, Måns Söderqvist cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Frans Trulsson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ingemar Rolandsson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Skillinge BK's goalkeeper Mark Sandström had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Douglas Hellkvist. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Oskar Bolin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Frans Trulsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jörgen Olsson in the 62nd minute of the match. Venjan BK's Oskar Bolin got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mark Sandström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joakim Landin, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. In the 80th minute the ball was on its way in behind Skillinge BK's goalkeeper Mark Sandström, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 90thth minute of the game Oskar Bolin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Skillinge BK's Mark Sandström was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Skillinge BK getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Oskar Lindsten hit a great ball. Oskar Bolin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Mark Sandström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match was over Venjan BK could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Skillinge BK throughout the match.
