In the 11th minute the ball was on its way in behind Helsingborgs IF's goalkeeper Sigvard Albohm, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 15th minute of the match, Gert Magnusson tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Sigvard Albohm saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebastian Ahlén in the 17th minute of play forced Helsingborgs IF's goalkeeper Sigvard Albohm to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 18 minutes into the match, Helsingborgs IF's goal looked a bit too open when Gert Magnusson came free, but Sigvard Albohm reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dick Sefastsson charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dick Sefastsson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 19 played minutes Helsingborgs IF got a freekick which was hit by Dick Sefastsson. In the 20th minute Sebastian Ahlén shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sigvard Albohm saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. George Ahlberg kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Sigvard Albohm showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sebastian Ahlén, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Helsingborgs IF's Sigvard Albohm played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gert Magnusson in the 24th minute of play. Sigvard Albohm showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sebastian Ahlén in the 25th minute of the match. Christian Nordlund tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 30 minutes, Gert Magnusson took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Sigvard Albohm to make any attempt to save it. Sigvard Albohm didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 35th minute, which inside left pole to 3-0. If Axel Andersson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 44 played minutes Helsingborgs IF got a freekick which was hit by Edmund Kling. Helsingborgs IF's George Ahlberg managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Fred Lundström in the 46 minute of the game. After 48 played minutes Sidensjö got a freekick which was hit by Gert Magnusson.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. George Ahlberg was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Helsingborgs IF's goal looked a bit too open when Konrad Hasselqvist came free, but Sigvard Albohm reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Konrad Hasselqvist couldn't finish the play. Sigvard Albohm took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Konrad Hasselqvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sigvard Albohm showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sebastian Ahlén, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dan Vollander in the 86th minute of play forced Helsingborgs IF's goalkeeper Sigvard Albohm to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Helsingborgs IF getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. George Ahlberg hit a great ball. Sigvard Albohm didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sebastian Ahlén went, in the 88th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-1 was the resulting score.
