In the 35th minute Mats Pålsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Conny Ekelund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fredrik Söderström recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. FC Paiders's Sven Åkerberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save FC Paiders from getting a goal against them. Dala-Järna's Conny Ekelund played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bertil Nordin in the 41st minute of play. After 42 played minutes FC Paiders got a freekick which was hit by Bertil Nordin. Bertil Nordin was in a good position and ended up with the ball after FC Paiders's free kick, but he didn't get a good hit on the ball and blazed it high and to the right of the goal. Bertil Nordin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Conny Ekelund having to make a save. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mats Pålsson was the one to do the kick off. When Arvid Klintæus fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Dala-Järna's protests and gave Arvid Klintæus a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Dala-Järna getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Arvid Klintæus hit a great ball. If Mats Pålsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Dala-Järna's Conny Ekelund got control of the ball when Bertil Nordin tried to sneak it across the goal line. 62 minutes into the game, Fredrik Söderström cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Sven Åkerberg was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 67th minute Fredrik Söderström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sven Åkerberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sven Åkerberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fredrik Söderström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Bertil Nordin came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the FC Paiders fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bertil Nordin couldn't finish the play. Mats Pålsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Conny Ekelund tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dala-Järna's Fredrik Söderström has a good shot, but didn't show it this time. The shot went over the crossbar in the 83rd minute. Conny Ekelund was out of position in the 85 minute of play, and Mats Pålsson capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Mats Pålsson really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. After having played for 89 minutes, Bertil Nordin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sven Åkerberg showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball.
