Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Oskarshamns AIK's Evert Sjöö started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute, Jerry Ahlbeck hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ulf Odman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sven Åkerberg having to interfere. Jerry Ahlbeck's late challenge caught a Oskarshamns AIK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jerry Ahlbeck helped the player get up and apologised. Jerry Ahlbeck kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. Ulf Odman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Harry Åström hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Ulf Odman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Oskarshamns AIK's supporters rose to their feet, but Ulf Odman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sven Åkerberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 19th minute, Åke Hellkvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 20th minute of the match Fredric Håkansson shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Egon Söderström showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ulf Odman in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sven Åkerberg saved FC Paiders from getting behind. Evert Sjöö sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 34 minutes into the game, Ulf Odman cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Sven Åkerberg was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ulf Odman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ulf Odman in the 38th minute of play forced FC Paiders's goalkeeper Sven Åkerberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mats Pålsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mats Pålsson to make the kick off. The supporters of Oskarshamns AIK booed when FC Paiders was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Harry Åström didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ulf Odman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 77 minutes into the match, Oskarshamns AIK's goal looked a bit too open when Bertil Nordin came free, but Egon Söderström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Evert Sjöö received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Sven Åkerberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Mats Pålsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 91stth minute of the game Bertil Nordin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Oskarshamns AIK's Egon Söderström was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the final whistle sounded Oskarshamns AIK left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than FC Paiders.
