Thomas Berg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Richard Mårtensson, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. 16 minutes into the game, Nils Jonsson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ludvika IF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave TrossoTonii the free kick. Thomas Berg came out and tried to block the shot, but Richard Mårtensson slotted it home off the left post making it 0-3 in the 53rd minute. The audience was convinced that Richard Mårtensson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Thomas Berg was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. With a little luck, Ludvika IF's Thomas Berg got control of the ball when Moises Eskuin tried to sneak it across the goal line.
