The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the match, Viggo Eskilsson notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of KINGS's Karl-Erik Fristedt. Karl-Erik Fristedt was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Edgar Stephansson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erland Delin, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Per-Oskar Nyman's late challenge caught a Lakene IFK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Per-Oskar Nyman helped the player get up and apologised. Per-Oskar Nyman kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Lakene IFK's attentive Arvin Ivarsson managed to snatch the ball when Ove Finman made a throw-in in the 13th minute of the game. Edgar Stephansson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kent Hedkvist in the 23rd minute. Karl-Erik Fristedt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hjalmar Lindqvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. After 29 played minutes KINGS got a freekick which was hit by Alex Fransson. A collision led to KINGS getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Algot Holm hit a great ball. In the 31st minute Eric Hjeltman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Karl-Erik Fristedt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The corner went over the outstretched arms of KINGS's goalie and right to Stig-Arne Höijer. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. KINGS's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Edgar Stephansson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kent Hedkvist went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Hjalmar Lindqvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Edgar Stephansson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Algot Holm in the 42nd minute of the match. In the 47th match minute, Lakene IFK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sten Ambjörnsson to maneuver through the defense.

After a defensive mix-up in KINGS's zone, Eric Hjeltman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Karl-Erik Fristedt came out of the goal and Eric Hjeltman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 57 minutes of play, KINGS's Per-Oskar Nyman made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Edgar Stephansson was left in no man's land by his defense there! Edgar Stephansson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Algot Holm in the 62nd minute of play. 63 minutes into the match, Algot Holm notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of Lakene IFK's Edgar Stephansson. Edgar Stephansson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 66th minute, Lakene IFK's Hjalmar Lindqvist ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Karl-Erik Fristedt. Karl-Erik Fristedt yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-2. Eric Hjeltman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karl-Erik Fristedt having to interfere. Karl-Erik Fristedt was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Viggo Eskilsson showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 4-3 in the 74 minute of play. Eric Hjeltman's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 77thth minute, Karl-Erik Fristedt skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After 78 minutes, Algot Holm mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the KINGS and the Lakene IFK players grew even worse after the yellow card. Algot Holm hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Karl-Erik Fristedt acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 83rd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Lars Liljeström. Edgar Stephansson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erland Delin in the 85th minute of play. Edgar Stephansson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Algot Holm in the 87th minute of the match. Edgar Stephansson came out of the goal in the 89th minute to try and stop a shot by KINGS's Kent Hedkvist. But to his dismay, Kent Hedkvist quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-3. Sten Ambjörnsson lost his temper 92 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After a rather tough play, Lakene IFK's Sten Ambjörnsson got a free kick in the 93rd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Jesper Boström managed to get in a good position for a shot. KINGS's supporters rose to their feet, but Jesper Boström was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edgar Stephansson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. KINGS fully deserved thier win.
