Per Örtendal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wilhelm Hybbert in the 32nd minute of the match. Hans Busk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Per Örtendal having to interfere. Hans Busk came free with the goalkeeper in the 42nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Per Örtendal could save by the left post. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Wilhelm Hybbert managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mangopapaya IF's supporters rose to their feet, but Wilhelm Hybbert was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Per Örtendal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Hans Busk to strike the kick off in the second half. If Hans Busk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 54th match minute, Ekeby was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jens Fernkvist to maneuver through the defense. In the 60th minute, Hans Busk got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Felix Rudqvist fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ekeby's protests and gave Felix Rudqvist a yellow card for diving instead. After 67 played minutes Ekeby got a freekick which was hit by Felix Rudqvist. Mangopapaya IF's attentive Evert Delin managed to snatch the ball when Felix Rudqvist made a throw-in in the 71st minute of the game. After 74 played minutes Ekeby got a freekick which was hit by Göran Jansson. When Iustin Bănățeanu came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Ekeby fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Iustin Bănățeanu couldn't finish the play. Hans Busk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Rickard Olofsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 82 minutes, Hans Busk put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Per Örtendal. Ekeby's Jerry Olsmann was substituted for Iustin Bănățeanu.
