The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Nicklas Fogel got the match started through his kick off. Claes Lenberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brian Utter, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rune Isaksson in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Claes Lenberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 14thth minute of the game Rune Isaksson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ingarö FC's Claes Lenberg was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alf Skräddare during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Helsingborgs IF's Alf Skräddare got a free kick in the 17th minute. Gunnar Söderkvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jan Aleberg made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when John Wallmark sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hans Sundén in the 24th minute of play forced Ingarö FC's goalkeeper Claes Lenberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 25th minute, Rune Isaksson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Helsingborgs IF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. The supporters of Ingarö FC booed when Helsingborgs IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rune Isaksson didn't get a good kick on the ball. John Wallmark fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jan Aleberg having to interfere. In the 32nd minute, Gunnar Söderkvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bertil Wallman kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Nicklas Fogel might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jan Aleberg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nicklas Fogel ran back to his position shaking his head. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rune Isaksson was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 53 minutes, Nicklas Fogel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ingarö FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nicklas Fogel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Helsingborgs IF getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Lukas Asserlindh hit a great ball. Ingarö FC's John Wallmark got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rune Isaksson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Claes Lenberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Claes Lenberg had great luck who in the 69thth minute grab hold of the ball when Rune Isaksson from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Alf Skräddare hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. After having played for 74 minutes, John Wallmark managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ingarö FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but John Wallmark was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rune Isakssons short, quick shot in the 78thth minute got Claes Lenberg to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. With his leg Claes Lenberg managed to avoid a goal in the 79thth minute, when Helsingborgs IF's Rune Isaksson fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, John Wallmark managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ingarö FC's supporters rose to their feet, but John Wallmark was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jan Aleberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by John Wallmark during the 88th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Nicklas Fogel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 93rd match minute, Helsingborgs IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alf Skräddare to maneuver through the defense. Jan Aleberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicklas Fogel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Ingarö FC booed when Helsingborgs IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hans Sundén didn't get a good kick on the ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Helsingborgs IF walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
