Spectators: 7371 (Terracing: 5500, Seating: 1722, VIP seats: 149) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Per Askberg got the match started through his kick off. Per Askberg received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Kent Juhlin came out and tried to block the shot, but Per Askberg slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 4th minute. In the 8th match minute, Utö was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonathan Berglund to maneuver through the defense. Claes Hydén's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hans Pettersson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. If Mathias Ahlgren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Per Askberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kent Juhlin having to interfere. Karl-Axel Hök's late challenge caught a Utö's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Karl-Axel Hök helped the player get up and apologised. Mathias Ahlgren took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hans Pettersson. Hans Pettersson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Loverpool's Hans Pettersson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claes Hydén in the 30th minute of play. With an all-out effort, Loverpool's Kent Juhlin threw himself towards the right post 32 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Per Askberg, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After having played for 37 minutes, Claes Hydén managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Utö's supporters crossed their fingers, but Claes Hydén was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Mathias Ahlgren managed to get in a good position for a shot. Utö's supporters rose to their feet, but Mathias Ahlgren was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hans Pettersson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Marcus Målare hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Claes Hydén might have been able to make a better finish in the 42nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hans Pettersson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Claes Hydén ran back to his position shaking his head. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

After a defensive mix-up in Loverpool's zone, Claes Hydén stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hans Pettersson came out of the goal and Claes Hydén tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mathias Ahlgren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Claes Hydén recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mathias Ahlgren struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Hans Pettersson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Utö. Claes Hydén fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hans Pettersson having to interfere. A collision led to Loverpool getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Aron Browald hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mathias Ahlgren in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hans Pettersson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Hans Pettersson came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by Utö's Mathias Ahlgren. But to his dismay, Mathias Ahlgren quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Patrik Stor kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Stefan Kilberg missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 82 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Kent Juhlin right hand side. In the 92nd minute, Utö's Mathias Ahlgren ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Hans Pettersson. Hans Pettersson yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-3. The Loverpool fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Utö were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
