Magnus Stålberg kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. Jakob Alebom recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 4th match minute, IFK EMOU was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stig-Arne Tingelholm to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the IFK EMOU defense, Jakob Alebom kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Thomas Levander. The IFK EMOU fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Thomas Levander should have stopped the shot. In the 10th minute Jakob Alebom shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thomas Levander saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Jakob Alebom had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Svante Olofsson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Thomas Levander having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Svante Olofsson in the 21st minute of play forced IFK EMOU's goalkeeper Thomas Levander to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Svante Olofsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Conny Juhlin's late challenge caught a Youngboys FF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Conny Juhlin helped the player get up and apologised. In the 26th minute there was a penalty for Youngboys FF. Joakim Smefeldt stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Thomas Levander. 0-2. Thomas Levander made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jakob Alebom in the 29th minute of play. 32 minutes into the match, Youngboys FF's goalkeeper Hans Lundin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Michael Smed. Hans Lundin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Michael Smed went, in the 34th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, IFK EMOU's Felix Grönberg got a free kick in the 38th minute. IFK EMOU's Thomas Levander played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Svante Olofsson in the 39th minute of play. Svante Olofsson scored 1-3 in the 43rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Thomas Levander, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Svante Olofsson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Hans Lundin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andy Gustavsson in the 52nd minute of play. In the 54th match minute, IFK EMOU was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Niclas Elg to maneuver through the defense. In the 55th minute of the match Joakim Smefeldt sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Thomas Levander skillfully saved the ball. If Jakob Alebom had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 57 played minutes IFK EMOU got a freekick which was hit by Magnus Stålberg. Jakob Alebom fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thomas Levander having to interfere. Thomas Levander made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Jakob Alebom sent off a good shot on target. In the 65thth minute of the game Svante Olofsson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but IFK EMOU's Thomas Levander was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 66th minute, Andy Gustavsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Svante Olofsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Thomas Levander tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 74th minute Svante Olofsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thomas Levander saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Magnus Stålberg hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Thomas Levander stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Svante Olofsson's shot from short distance in the 77th minute. Hans Lundin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tord Kjellman, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. IFK EMOU's Thomas Levander proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save IFK EMOU from getting a goal against them. Thomas Levander made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Elliott Grönberg sent off a good shot on target. Tord Kjellman scored 2-3 in the 92nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Hans Lundin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Youngboys FF eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
