The Wengers Gunners fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Stig Torsberg should have stopped the shot. With a little luck, Wengers Gunners's Stig Torsberg got control of the ball when Pål Nilsson tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Kurt Pilblad had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bertil Holm sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 22 minutes into the game, Bertil Larsfält was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. StarFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Wengers Gunners the free kick. Bertil Larsfält hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Bertil Holm was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 28th minute. StarFC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. When Pål Nilsson, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 29 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Stig Torsberg was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Per Classon took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 38th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Stig Torsberg. Wengers Gunners's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 44 minutes into the match, Wengers Gunners's goal looked a bit too open when Bertil Holm came free, but Stig Torsberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 46th match minute, Wengers Gunners was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vilhelm Sandberg to maneuver through the defense.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bertil Holm was the one to do the kick off. StarFC were awarded a corner in the 55th minute after Wengers Gunners's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jens Mattsson took the corner. After a rather tough play, Wengers Gunners's Marko Bjurström got a free kick in the 56th minute. 63 minutes into the game, StarFC's Bertil Holm nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Stig Torsberg made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Pål Nilsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stig Torsberg having to interfere. The supporters of StarFC booed when Wengers Gunners was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fredrik Lindman didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 77th minute of the match Jens Mattsson shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Stig Torsberg showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The StarFC fans' excitement grew in the 79th match minute when StarFC's Bertil Holm looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Fredrik Lindman kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. Stig Torsberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pål Nilsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 85 minutes, Pål Nilsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. StarFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pål Nilsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Bertil Holm managed to get in a good position for a shot. StarFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Bertil Holm was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Stig Torsberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. StarFC fully deserved thier win.
