After a defensive mix-up in Majestic Vadstena's zone, Sven-Erik Albohm stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Magnus Löv came out of the goal and Sven-Erik Albohm tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Magnus Löv took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sven-Erik Albohm, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jesper Bengtsson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aron Söderström read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 7th minute of play. In the 9th minute, Tony Hellsing left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Västerhaninge IF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. After 13 minutes, Gösta Lundin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Majestic Vadstena and the Västerhaninge IF players grew even worse after the yellow card. Gösta Lundin kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Tony Hellsing managed to get in a good position for a shot. Västerhaninge IF's supporters rose to their feet, but Tony Hellsing was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Magnus Löv breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jesper Bengtsson kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Västerhaninge IF's Tony Hellsing got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Linus Melberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Magnus Löv tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sven-Erik Albohm sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Olle Nordkvist could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Aron Söderström made a huge save. Tony Hellsing got his second yellow card in the match during the 36th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. A collision led to Västerhaninge IF getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Tony Hellsing hit a great ball. Sven-Erik Albohm sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 43rd minute, Leif Carlsson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Magnus Löv was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Sven-Erik Albohm received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Magnus Löv tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Leif Carlsson to make the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Majestic Vadstena's goalkeeper Magnus Löv had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sven-Erik Albohm. Through an outstanding action, after 53 minutes, Magnus Löv successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The corner led Västerhaninge IF's Sven-Erik Albohm to fire away a dangerous shot which Magnus Löv despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After having played for 56 minutes, Sven-Erik Albohm managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Västerhaninge IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sven-Erik Albohm was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Linus Melberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 58 minutes into the game, Patrik Sundin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Majestic Vadstena's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Västerhaninge IF the free kick. After 59 played minutes Majestic Vadstena got a freekick which was hit by Patrik Sundin. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Klas Björklund managed to get in a good position for a shot. Västerhaninge IF's supporters rose to their feet, but Klas Björklund was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Magnus Löv breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Sven-Erik Albohm came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Västerhaninge IF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sven-Erik Albohm couldn't finish the play. Sven-Erik Albohm struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Magnus Löv didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Västerhaninge IF. In the 66th match minute, Västerhaninge IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sven-Erik Albohm to maneuver through the defense. Sven-Erik Albohm sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Linus Melberg blasted a shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Magnus Löv having to make a save. After a rather tough play, Majestic Vadstena's Henric Lindberg got a free kick in the 74th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Sven-Erik Albohm managed to get in a good position for a shot. Västerhaninge IF's supporters rose to their feet, but Sven-Erik Albohm was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. After 94 played minutes Majestic Vadstena got a freekick which was hit by Patrik Sundin. Linus Melberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Magnus Löv having to interfere. Västerhaninge IF's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
