A collision led to Norrtälje FC getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Apostolikas Plexidas hit a great ball. 11 minutes in the game Billy Pettersson did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Evert Brolin. Sebastian Nyström hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. When Evert Brolin came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Norrtälje FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Evert Brolin couldn't finish the play. Apostolikas Plexidas hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Dag Sundberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. André Wikander made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dag Sundberg in the 27th minute of play. In the 28th minute, Erling Stephansson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Hällby Hellballers's Birger Galle got a free kick in the 35th minute. Jan-Åke Månsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Evert Brolin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 47th minute, Mats Eckegren got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Dag Sundberg made the kick off in the second half. After having played for 53 minutes, Evert Brolin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Norrtälje FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Evert Brolin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Gösta Kråk fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hällby Hellballers's protests and gave Gösta Kråk a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Norrtälje FC booed when Hällby Hellballers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gösta Kråk didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Hällby Hellballers's zone, Filip Östlund stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jan-Åke Månsson came out of the goal and Filip Östlund tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Filip Östlund received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Jan-Åke Månsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Evert Brolin in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jan-Åke Månsson saved Hällby Hellballers from getting behind. Mats Eckegren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jan-Åke Månsson having to interfere. 66 minutes into the game, Norrtälje FC's Mats Eckegren nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jan-Åke Månsson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Agne Kilman kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. In the 71st minute Evert Brolin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan-Åke Månsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Christopher Mattsson charged in rather forcefully in the 72nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Christopher Mattsson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Mats Eckegren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jan-Åke Månsson having to interfere. After some careless play in the Hällby Hellballers defense, Evert Brolin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jan-Åke Månsson. The Hällby Hellballers fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jan-Åke Månsson should have stopped the shot. Jan-Åke Månsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Evert Brolin in the 83rd minute of the match. If Evert Brolin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ted Söderberg hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. André Wikander made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dag Sundberg in the 96th minute of play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Norrtälje FC had played much better football throughout.
