The Arsenal FC fans' excitement grew in the 9th match minute when Arsenal FC's Gösta Kellbom looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 13 minutes into the game, Arsenal FC's Peter Jansson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Johannes Johansson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Johannes Johansson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gösta Kellbom, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. 20 minutes into the match, Arsenal FC's goal looked a bit too open when Sven-Olof Ström came free, but Alexander Sellberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 24th minute, Peter Jansson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Johannes Johansson was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. A collision led to Aktiebolaget getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Tage Wassenius hit a great ball. When Ivan Paulin came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Arsenal FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ivan Paulin couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Tom Hurtig managed to get in a good position for a shot. Arsenal FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Tom Hurtig was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Johannes Johansson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 33 minutes into the game, Arsenal FC's Gösta Kellbom nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Tom Hurtig managed to get in a good position for a shot. Arsenal FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Tom Hurtig was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Johannes Johansson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ivan Paulin in the 47th minute of play forced Aktiebolaget's goalkeeper Johannes Johansson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gösta Kellbom was the one to do the kick off. Peter Jansson struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Johannes Johansson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Arsenal FC. When Peter Jansson came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Arsenal FC fans jumped to their feet. Johannes Johansson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gösta Kellbom, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 81st minute Gösta Kellbom shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Johannes Johansson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Aktiebolaget booed when Arsenal FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Karl Bivall didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Ivan Paulin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tom Hurtig recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ivan Paulins short, quick shot in the 94thth minute got Johannes Johansson to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The Aktiebolaget fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Arsenal FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
