A collision led to Norrlandsfotboll FC getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Alexander Söderlund hit a great ball. If Alf Hård had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 23 minutes into the match, Norrlandsfotboll FC's goalkeeper Sven Västberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ivan Paulin. Arsenal FC's Gösta Kellbom got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alexander Söderlund kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Sven Västberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tom Hurtig, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gösta Kellbom in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sven Västberg saved Norrlandsfotboll FC from getting behind. When the match clock showed 33 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Gösta Kellbom sped through Norrlandsfotboll FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Sven Västberg. Tom Hurtig struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Sven Västberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Arsenal FC. Peter Jansson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sven Västberg having to interfere. 41 minutes into the game, Arsenal FC's Ivan Paulin nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sven Västberg made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Norrlandsfotboll FC's Sven Västberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save Norrlandsfotboll FC from getting a goal against them. Rasmus Jakobsson was extremely unlucky when he, in the 47th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gösta Kellbom to make the kick off. Peter Jansson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sven Västberg read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. Peter Jansson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sven Västberg having to interfere. Gösta Kellbom sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The audience was convinced that Gösta Kellbom's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sven Västberg was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. In the 63rd minute, Ivan Paulin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sven Västberg was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Alexander Sellberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arne Ödman, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Arsenal FC's Gösta Kellbom got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sven Västberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tom Hurtig in the 73rd minute of play.
