In the 5th minute, Långholmen FC's Knut Back dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Långholmen FC's Michael Persson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tom Hurtig in the 15th minute of play. 17 minutes into the game, Erland Fransson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Arsenal FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Långholmen FC the free kick. After 17 played minutes Arsenal FC got a freekick which was hit by Erland Fransson. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Knut Back in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alexander Sellberg saved Arsenal FC from getting behind. Michael Persson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ivan Paulin, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Ivan Paulin scored 1-2 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Michael Persson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Mats Lindberg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Alexander Sellberg made a huge save. After 37 minutes of play, Arsenal FC's Ivan Paulin made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Michael Persson was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Jan Wallgren came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Långholmen FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jan Wallgren couldn't finish the play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Knut Back made a kick off. The supporters of Långholmen FC booed when Arsenal FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gösta Kellbom didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jan Wallgren in the 59th minute of play forced Arsenal FC's goalkeeper Alexander Sellberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alexander Sellberg came out of the goal in the 61st minute to try and stop a shot by Långholmen FC's Ralf Julin. But to his dismay, Ralf Julin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. Knut Back struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Alexander Sellberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Långholmen FC. Alexander Sellberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jan Wallgren in the 68th minute of play. In the 69th minute Knut Back shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexander Sellberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 70 minutes of play, Långholmen FC's Jan Wallgren made it 3-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tom Hurtig kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. With a little luck, Långholmen FC's Michael Persson got control of the ball when Ivan Paulin tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 85 played minutes Gösta Kellbom rounded Långholmen FC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 3-4. A collision led to Arsenal FC getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Ivan Paulin hit a great ball. Ivan Paulin's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Michael Persson firmly grabbed it by the left post. Michael Persson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gösta Kellbom in the 97th minute of the match. The Långholmen FC manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Arsenal FC to win.
