The Rats's supporters crossed their fingers, but José Carlos White was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ove Heggert was out of position in the 8 minute of play, and Per-Olof Lind capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Per-Olof Lind really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. José Carlos Whites short, quick shot in the 20thth minute got Ove Heggert to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Anthony Avila sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ove Heggert took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anthony Avila, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 25th match minute, Sporting Björkberg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anders Björkdahl to maneuver through the defense. When Anthony Avila came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the The Rats fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anthony Avila couldn't finish the play. José Carlos White scored 3-0 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ove Heggert, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 33rd minute, Sven-Ove Pettersson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 36 minutes, José Carlos White made it 4-0 with a short kick to the right side. Sporting Björkberg's Ove Heggert tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Anthony Avila recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With his leg Ove Heggert managed to avoid a goal in the 41stth minute, when The Rats's José Carlos White fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 42nd minute of the game. One of Sporting Björkberg:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of The Rats:s goal. The referee gave The Rats a penalty, 43 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by José Carlos White, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Sporting Björkberg's Ove Heggert. 5-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 5-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. José Carlos White was the one to do the kick off. After 52 minutes, José Carlos White made it 6-0 with a short kick to the right side. Sporting Björkberg's Ove Heggert tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 56 minutes into the game, The Rats's José Carlos White nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ove Heggert made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-0. If Anthony Avila had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ove Heggert came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by The Rats's José Carlos White. But to his dismay, José Carlos White quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 8-0. Anthony Avila received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. The supporters of Sporting Björkberg booed when The Rats was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Carlos White didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 83rd minute of the match Allan Mogren shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tord Samuelsson showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Ove Heggert showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Carlos White, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. When José Carlos White came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the The Rats fans jumped to their feet. The Rats's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
