An unexpectedly hard shot by Tor Lundin in the 4th minute of play forced Hammar Häsgroppers's goalkeeper Sigvard Kilström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Stig Jakobsson hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. With an all-out effort, Hammar Häsgroppers's Peter Östman threw himself towards the right post 12 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Marko Smefeldt, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 15th minute Ronny Ersman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sigvard Kilström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Peter Östman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pål Wik, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Knut Wahlnäs kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. 20 minutes in the game, Tor Lundin dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Tor Lundin kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. With a little luck, Mejslarna IF's Peter Östman got control of the ball when Albert Mellberg tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Hammar Häsgroppers's zone, Tor Lundin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sigvard Kilström came out of the goal and Tor Lundin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 31 played minutes Hammar Häsgroppers got a freekick which was hit by Dennis Kvalfält. Sigvard Kilström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tor Lundin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tor Lundin spun around in front of the goal 34 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Hammar Häsgroppers's goal. Through an outstanding action, after 36 minutes, Peter Östman successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Tor Lundin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jan-Ove Hasselqvist in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sigvard Kilström saved Hammar Häsgroppers from getting behind. In the 46th minute Tor Lundin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sigvard Kilström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hammar Häsgroppers's Sigvard Kilström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tor Lundin in the 48th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Pål Wik made a kick off. In the 52nd minute, Mejslarna IF's Ronny Ersman dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. Marko Smefeldt scored 2-1 in the 57th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Peter Östman, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 65th minute Pål Wik shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Peter Östman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 68 played minutes Mejslarna IF got a freekick which was hit by Kenneth Glanselius. 70 minutes into the match, Mejslarna IF's goal looked a bit too open when Marko Smefeldt came free, but Peter Östman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Hammar Häsgroppers booed when Mejslarna IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kenneth Glanselius didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 80th minute Pål Wik shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Peter Östman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mejslarna IF's Peter Östman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marko Smefeldt in the 81st minute of play. After 83 minutes of play, Hammar Häsgroppers's Pål Wik made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Peter Östman was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 88th minute Tor Lundin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sigvard Kilström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Peter Östman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marko Smefeldt in the 89th minute of play. Sigvard Kilström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tor Lundin in the 93rd minute of the match. 96 minutes into the game, Hammar Häsgroppers's Stig Jakobsson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Peter Östman made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-1.
