Seating: 1756, VIP seats: 152) Pistonheads FC's Helge Andreasson started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Helge Andreasson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 4th minute of the match, but Anders Hellsing made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Christoffer Gustavsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pistonheads FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Christoffer Gustavsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anders Hellsing breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Jimmy Lundgren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 15th minute, Sune Helström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jimmy Lundgren recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Helge Andreasson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Helge Andreasson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Anders Hellsing made a huge save. Ernst Lidman made a great header on Pistonheads FC's corner, it was just that Ätran's Anders Hellsing managed to reach the ball for a save. If Tim Fransson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jimmy Lundgren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Tim Fransson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Åke Tillman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Åke Tillman made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Ätran's Sven-Erik Kruse got a free kick in the 55th minute. Tim Fransson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Anders Hellsing made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Samuel Sigfridsson in the 65th minute of play. In the 68th minute, Helge Andreasson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Pistonheads FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Simon Lundin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ätran's Anders Hellsing played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Samuel Sigfridsson in the 75th minute of play. Samuel Sigfridsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Samuel Sigfridsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Anders Hellsing made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Samuel Sigfridsson in the 85th minute of play. With an all-out effort, Ätran's Kristian Stabbe threw himself towards the right post 90 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Åke Tillman, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Helge Andreasson in the 93rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Anders Hellsing prevented the ball from getting in the gole. There was no doubt that Pistonheads FC were the better team. Pistonheads FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
