An unexpectedly hard shot by Per Frick in the 8th minute of play forced Skövde Vikings FC's goalkeeper Christoffer Kvick to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Fredriksdal BF booed when Skövde Vikings FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomas Ahlfors didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Rune Bolin fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fredriksdal BF's protests and gave Rune Bolin a yellow card for diving instead. Tomas Ahlfors struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Stellan Gallin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Skövde Vikings FC. Fredriksdal BF's Stellan Gallin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sten Kjellqvist in the 34th minute of play. When Sten Kjellqvist came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Skövde Vikings FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sten Kjellqvist couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the Fredriksdal BF defense, Tomas Ahlfors kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Stellan Gallin. The Fredriksdal BF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Stellan Gallin should have stopped the shot. A hard shot 42 in the game by Tomas Ahlfors from a close distance when the talented Stellan Gallin managed to make a qualified save. Fredriksdal BF's players were relieved. Christoffer Kvick took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Per Frick, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 44th minute, Per Frick ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Christoffer Kvick was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1.

The wind increased when Tomas Ahlfors made the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tomas Ahlfors in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Stellan Gallin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Skövde Vikings FC made a substitution. Uno Åman replaced Nils-Emil Gunnarsson. Morgan Bogren hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Tomas Ahlfors kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Tomas Ahlfors's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Stellan Gallin was relentless in the 65th minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomas Ahlfors in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Stellan Gallin saved Fredriksdal BF from getting behind. Åke Västerberg made in the 78th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Sten Kjellqvist. 88 minutes into the match, Fredriksdal BF's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Ahlfors came free, but Stellan Gallin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 90 minutes into the game, Harald Nordkvist was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Skövde Vikings FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fredriksdal BF the free kick. In the 91st minute, Harald Nordkvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 94 minutes, Uno Åman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Skövde Vikings FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Uno Åman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Skövde Vikings FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Fredriksdal BF had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
