Match Report

Seating: 1774, VIP seats: 153) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Bradagain Baadegaard took the kick off in the first half of the match. Henry Kristiansson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 2nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filip Holmgren having to interfere. 5 minutes into the match, Spurs Sweden's goal looked a bit too open when Bradagain Baadegaard came free, but Henrik Ingemarsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 7th match minute, Fluminense was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bradagain Baadegaard to maneuver through the defense. Spurs Sweden's Bo-Erik Östensson managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Apal Olmedo in the 10 minute of the game. In the 12th minute, Henry Kristiansson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Spurs Sweden fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nils Österlund in the 14th minute of play forced Spurs Sweden's goalkeeper Henrik Ingemarsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Henrik Ingemarsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bradagain Baadegaard in the 17th minute of play. Henrik Ingemarsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bradagain Baadegaard in the 24th minute of the match. Georg Öberg made in the 26th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Spurs Sweden's Mathias Björk. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Spurs Sweden's Kenneth McKinnell in the 27th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Filip Holmgren was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Fluminense through an amazing save. In the 28th minute Bradagain Baadegaard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henrik Ingemarsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Henrik Ingemarsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Torsten Höijer, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Bradagain Baadegaard received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Henrik Ingemarsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Henry Kristiansson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Henrik Ingemarsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sture Bergfeldt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Henrik Ingemarsson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Apal Olmedo's shot from short distance in the 45th minute. In the 46th minute Bradagain Baadegaard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henrik Ingemarsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Spurs Sweden's Henrik Ingemarsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bradagain Baadegaard in the 46th minute of play.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kenneth McKinnell to strike the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Henry Kristiansson in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Filip Holmgren prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 56 minutes into the game, Apal Olmedo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Henrik Ingemarsson. Apal Olmedo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. A collision led to Spurs Sweden getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Oskar Bergqvist hit a great ball. Apal Olmedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Henrik Ingemarsson having to interfere. Henrik Ingemarsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bradagain Baadegaard in the 64th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Henry Kristiansson in the 66th minute of play forced Fluminense's goalkeeper Filip Holmgren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Spurs Sweden's Henry Kristiansson in the 69th minute got a chance for a shot 69th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Fluminense's goalie prevented a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bradagain Baadegaard got free with Henrik Ingemarsson in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Sven Stenman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 79 played minutes Fluminense got a freekick which was hit by Georg Öberg. In the 90th match minute, Fluminense was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nils Österlund to maneuver through the defense. Filip Holmgren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Henry Kristiansson in the 93rd minute of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Fluminense walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
