Ragnar Ström made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 9 minutes into the game, Alejo Veliz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Ragnar Ström was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience was convinced that Nils-Emil Ros's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Patrick Eliasson was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. Boden's Thor Sjöberg got his second yellow card of the match in the 14th minute. The referee ordered Thor Sjöberg off the ground. A collision led to Boden getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Thor Sjöberg hit a great ball. In the 17thth minute of the game Alejo Veliz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Boden's Ragnar Ström was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 19 minutes into the match, Boden's goal looked a bit too open when Kasper Vallman came free, but Ragnar Ström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A sloppy throw-in by Thomas Berggren in the 25th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Boden's Elliott Söderquist. In the 28th match minute, Gnesta Oilers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arne Hylander to maneuver through the defense. Ragnar Ström stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kasper Vallman's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. But to his dismay, Alejo Veliz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Jonathan Kvick struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Patrick Eliasson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Boden. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Nils-Emil Ros to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Alejo Veliz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ragnar Ström was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. After 56 minutes of play, Gnesta Oilers's Alejo Veliz made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ragnar Ström was left in no man's land by his defense there! The crowd rose to their feet as Gnesta Oilers's Alejo Veliz slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ragnar Ström. That made the score 0-6 after 59 minutes of play. Alejo Veliz in the 64thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ragnar Ström, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After 64 played minutes Gnesta Oilers got a freekick which was hit by John Dahlquist. The audience was convinced that Kasper Vallman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ragnar Ström was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. A hard shot 68 in the game by Alejo Veliz from a close distance when the talented Ragnar Ström managed to make a qualified save. Boden's players were relieved. Gnesta Oilers's Patrick Eliasson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nils-Emil Ros in the 73rd minute of play. Patrick Eliasson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nils-Emil Ros's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. When Nils-Emil Ros came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Boden fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nils-Emil Ros couldn't finish the play. Patrick Eliasson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nils-Emil Ros, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Gnesta Oilers eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
