The corner led Forza Bajen BK's Karl-Michael Göransson to fire away a dangerous shot which Bernt Sjöberg despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 10th minute, Jörgen Beckman left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Forza Bajen BK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Bernt Sjöberg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jörgen Beckman's shot from short distance in the 13th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jörgen Beckman in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bernt Sjöberg saved Göta FC from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Magnus Grelsson in the 16th minute of play forced Forza Bajen BK's goalkeeper Dave Tacconelli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Göta FC defense, Dennis Norström kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bernt Sjöberg. The Göta FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bernt Sjöberg should have stopped the shot. 22 minutes into the game, Jörgen Beckman cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Bernt Sjöberg was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Bernt Sjöberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dennis Norström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 26th match minute, Göta FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joachim Sjögren to maneuver through the defense. Jörgen Beckman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Bernt Sjöberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Algot Beckström kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. 38 minutes into the game, Jörgen Beckman cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-5. Bernt Sjöberg was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Bernt Sjöberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dennis Norström, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Dennis Norström managed to get in a good position for a shot. Forza Bajen BK's supporters rose to their feet, but Dennis Norström was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bernt Sjöberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 44th minute the ball was on its way in behind Göta FC's goalkeeper Bernt Sjöberg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Bernt Sjöberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jörgen Beckman in the 47th minute of the match.

After a rather tough play, Göta FC's Uno Jonasson got a free kick in the 51st minute. Karl-Michael Göransson shot from long distance after 52 played minutes, a shot that Bernt Sjöberg with certain difficulty stopped from going in under the crossbar. In the 56th minute, Rutger Lindell got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Jörgen Beckman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jörgen Beckman who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 67thth minute tested the skills of Bernt Sjöberg when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alvin Hjeltman in the 69th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bernt Sjöberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dennis Norström got free with Bernt Sjöberg in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Joakim Hedlund received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Dave Tacconelli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dave Tacconelli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rutger Lindell, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. After having played for 94 minutes, Jörgen Beckman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal.
