Tom Bur made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Sotiris Koupepes sent off a good shot on target. Sotiris Koupepes received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Tom Bur came out and tried to block the shot, but Sotiris Koupepes slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 13th minute. In the 15th minute Van Lentz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Folke Björkdal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tom Bur made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patrik Lingren in the 16th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Riala Goif's zone, Sotiris Koupepes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tom Bur came out of the goal and Sotiris Koupepes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Wolverhampton's Folke Björkdal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alvin Rosin in the 22nd minute of play. In the 25th minute, Sotiris Koupepes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 26thth minute of the game Patrik Lingren who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Riala Goif's Tom Bur was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Riala Goif's Tom Bur played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patrik Lingren in the 27th minute of play. Folke Björkdal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alvin Rosin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sotiris Koupepes in the 35thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Tom Bur, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Alvin Rosin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Sotiris Koupepes's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 42ndth minute, Tom Bur skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Van Lentz in the 44th minute of play forced Wolverhampton's goalkeeper Folke Björkdal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 3-3 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Van Lentz made the kick off in the second half. Wolverhampton made a substitution. Sven-Ove Askestät replaced Patrik Lingren. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sven-Ove Askestät in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tom Bur saved Riala Goif from getting behind. After some careless play in the Riala Goif defense, Sotiris Koupepes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tom Bur. The Riala Goif fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tom Bur should have stopped the shot. 71 minutes into the match, Wolverhampton's Sotiris Koupepes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tom Bur narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Riala Goif's zone, Sven-Ove Askestät stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tom Bur came out of the goal and Sven-Ove Askestät tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 85th minute, Sotiris Koupepes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tom Bur was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sotiris Koupepes in the 88th minute of play forced Riala Goif's goalkeeper Tom Bur to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Sotiris Koupepes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Wolverhampton's supporters rose to their feet, but Sotiris Koupepes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tom Bur breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tom Bur came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by Wolverhampton's Allan Burmeister. But to his dismay, Allan Burmeister quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-3. Wolverhampton's defense didn't have a chance, in the 94th minute, when Herman Åberg scored to the left of an out of position Folke Björkdal, making the score, 6-4. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Wolverhampton had won after a very even match.
