Lars-Erik Lidström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Robert Dubiel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 14 minutes into the game, Joar Trulsson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Blomstermåla IF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Segmon IF the free kick. The supporters of Segmon IF booed when Blomstermåla IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joar Trulsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ian Ström made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bertil Bergman in the 16th minute. Stig-Arne Björkman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Robert Dubiel, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. In the 28thth minute of the game Robert Dubiel who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Blomstermåla IF's Stig-Arne Björkman was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Bertil Bergman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Ian Ström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Roger Sandberg kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Robert Dubiel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stig-Arne Björkman having to interfere. Blomstermåla IF's Stig-Arne Björkman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robert Dubiel in the 44th minute of play. When Segmon IF's Robert Dubiel in the 47th minute got a chance for a shot 47th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Blomstermåla IF's goalie prevented a goal.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bernt Ström made a kick off. After 53 played minutes Segmon IF got a freekick which was hit by Tom Hedlund. After 61 played minutes Blomstermåla IF got a freekick which was hit by Roger Sandberg. In the 65th minute Robert Dubiel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stig-Arne Björkman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Blomstermåla IF's Bernt Ström got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 70 minutes, Robert Dubiel put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Stig-Arne Björkman. 74 minutes into the match, Blomstermåla IF's goal looked a bit too open when Tom Hedlund came free, but Stig-Arne Björkman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lars-Erik Lidström in the 77th minute of play forced Blomstermåla IF's goalkeeper Stig-Arne Björkman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With his leg Stig-Arne Björkman managed to avoid a goal in the 78thth minute, when Segmon IF's Robert Dubiel fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Robert Dubiel in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Stig-Arne Björkman prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Hjalmar Vallmark charged in rather forcefully in the 87th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hjalmar Vallmark the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 88th match minute, Blomstermåla IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hjalmar Vallmark to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Segmon IF's Börje Beck got a free kick in the 92nd minute. If Bror Vennerberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
