The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Holger Olenberg might have been able to make a better finish in the 3rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Anders Strömbom. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. FcÖrebroWin's Patrik Stenquist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Douglas Malmberg in the 21st minute of play. Holger Olenberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Anders Strömbom tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Holger Olenberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in UllaBull BK's zone, Holger Olenberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anders Strömbom came out of the goal and Holger Olenberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Holger Olenberg in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Anders Strömbom prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Higino Jordão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, FcÖrebroWin's Eric Kvarnström got a free kick in the 36th minute. In the 37th minute Douglas Malmberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Patrik Stenquist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Holger Olenberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Holger Olenberg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Anders Strömbom was relentless in the 43rd minute of the game. After 47 minutes, Higino Jordão made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. UllaBull BK's Anders Strömbom tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Higino Jordão blasted a shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Anders Strömbom having to make a save. When Olle Ström fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FcÖrebroWin's protests and gave Olle Ström a yellow card for diving instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Holger Olenberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. FcÖrebroWin's supporters rose to their feet, but Holger Olenberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anders Strömbom breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Esbjörn Bagge charged in rather forcefully in the 66th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Esbjörn Bagge the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, UllaBull BK's Esbjörn Bagge got a free kick in the 66th minute. The tension between the UllaBull BK and the FcÖrebroWin players grew even worse after the yellow card. Anders Strömbom showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Higino Jordão, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. When the match was over FcÖrebroWin could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than UllaBull BK throughout the match.
