Szymon Gierlach was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. LKS Głębokie were awarded a corner in the 17th minute after ŁKS ŁÓDŹ's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Kryspin Madajczyk took the corner. The corner led LKS Głębokie's Kryspin Madajczyk to fire away a dangerous shot which Julian Karbowski despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Kryspin Madajczyk's shot from long distance was a real pearl which went to the right and just passed Julian Karbowski - 2-1 was put on the score board in the 17th minute. After having played for 20 minutes, Edgar Balonek managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. LKS Głębokie's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edgar Balonek was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 21st minute, Javier Zanetti hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kryspin Tylenda could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Szymon Gierlach made a huge save. In the 30th minute Witomir Rosiewicz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Szymon Gierlach saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 36 minutes into the match, LKS Głębokie's Edgar Balonek sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julian Karbowski narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 37 played minutes ŁKS ŁÓDŹ got a freekick which was hit by Igor Tello. Julian Karbowski came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by LKS Głębokie's Edgar Balonek. But to his dismay, Edgar Balonek quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. Sebastian Wielowiejski kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tomasz Turok in the 47th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Szymon Gierlach prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 47 played minutes LKS Głębokie got a freekick which was hit by Zygmunt Sobania. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 2-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Witomir Rosiewicz to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Janusz Kolbe reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Julian Karbowski. The goal made the score 2-4. In the 60th minute, Sylwester Brzakala hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, ŁKS ŁÓDŹ's Herbert Skrzypek got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Szymon Gierlach made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomasz Turok in the 64th minute of play. Edgar Balonek sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 69 minutes, Tomasz Turok mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ŁKS ŁÓDŹ and the LKS Głębokie players grew even worse after the yellow card. Edgar Balonek sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Edgar Balonek's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julian Karbowski was relentless in the 74th minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Kryspin Tylenda managed to get in a good position for a shot. Szymon Gierlach breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 83 minutes into the match, LKS Głębokie's goal looked a bit too open when Leszek Barniszke came free, but Szymon Gierlach reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of ŁKS ŁÓDŹ booed when LKS Głębokie was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edgar Balonek didn't get a good kick on the ball. The corner led ŁKS ŁÓDŹ's Igor Tello to fire away a dangerous shot which Szymon Gierlach despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 89 minutes into the game, one of ŁKS ŁÓDŹ:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 96th minute, Korneliusz Grabski made a precise shot to the right of Szymon Gierlach. LKS Głębokie's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-5. Chants of LKS Głębokie echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as ŁKS ŁÓDŹ had held the ball for most of the match.
