But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alfred Narbut couldn't finish the play. In the 22nd minute, Leonard Serwach hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Wawrzyniec Gurgul hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet as MISIEK TEAM's Alfred Narbut slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Dominik Tyski. That made the score 1-0 after 35 minutes of play. Bartosz Rydz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stanislaw Czajka, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alfred Narbut was the one to do the kick off.
