Spectators: 7182 (Terracing: 5489, Seating: 1683, VIP seats: 10) GKS Katowice's Radomil Golota started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 3 played minutes GKS Katowice got a freekick which was hit by Olgierd Orszak. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Radoslaw Zuraw in the 10th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benedykt Czeberowski prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Olgierd Orszak recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 18 played minutes Gruszewnia SSA got a freekick which was hit by Iwo Rutecki. The audience thought a goal was coming when Czeslaw Sokolski got free with Pawel Kluczyk in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Benedykt Czeberowski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Radoslaw Dziurowicz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jaroslaw Duszenski in the 23rd minute of play forced GKS Katowice's goalkeeper Benedykt Czeberowski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 29th minute Radoslaw Zuraw shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benedykt Czeberowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Czeslaw Sokolski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Radomil Golota could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Pawel Kluczyk made a huge save. In the 34th minute, Czeslaw Sokolski got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Pawel Kluczyk made an important save on a dangerous shot by Radomil Golota in the 35th minute. After 37 played minutes Gruszewnia SSA got a freekick which was hit by Lech Rosiewicz. After having played for 43 minutes, Radomil Golota managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. GKS Katowice's supporters crossed their fingers, but Radomil Golota was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 44th minute, GKS Katowice's Leonard Modliszewski ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Pawel Kluczyk. Pawel Kluczyk yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. Olgierd Orszak received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Pawel Kluczyk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jaroslaw Duszenski was the one to do the kick off. GKS Katowice's Czeslaw Sokolski got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Olgierd Orszak recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Olgierd Orszak kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. After having played for 73 minutes, Czeslaw Sokolski managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Radoslaw Zuraw fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benedykt Czeberowski having to interfere. Radomil Golota received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Pawel Kluczyk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leonard Modliszewski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
