In the 16th minute, RKS Raków Częstochowa's Mikolaj Absolwent ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Zula Kapelski. An unexpectedly hard shot by Slawomir Sidorowicz in the 20th minute of play forced RKS Raków Częstochowa's goalkeeper Emil Bentkowski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 22 minutes into the game, one of BYTóW F.C.:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. BYTóW F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Ignacy Bartoszek was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Emil Bentkowski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ignacy Bartoszek was the one to do the kick off.
