After 73 minutes of play, Śląsk 1947 Wrocław's Jaroslaw Wiater made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hieronim Bakes in the 96th minute of play forced Dzierzgowo SSA's goalkeeper Wasyl Kiepski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
