But to his dismay, Stefan Rutkowski quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Pankracy Bartochowski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ksawery Wicherek, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Eugeniusz Napierkowski received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Pankracy Bartochowski came out and tried to block the shot, but Eugeniusz Napierkowski slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 13th minute. After 16 played minutes Start FC got a freekick which was hit by Eugeniusz Napierkowski. Leonard Cuber showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stefan Rutkowski in the 18th minute of the match. Pankracy Bartochowski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ksawery Wicherek, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lucjan Pryputnicki's late challenge caught a Start FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lucjan Pryputnicki helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Start FC booed when United Żarów was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lucjan Pryputnicki didn't get a good kick on the ball. Beniamin Marud received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Leonard Cuber tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 25th minute, Eugeniusz Napierkowski ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pankracy Bartochowski was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. After 33 played minutes Start FC got a freekick which was hit by Eugeniusz Napierkowski. Start FC were furious when Edmund Awizo was red carded, 35 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 34th minute of the game. One of Start FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of United Żarów:s goal. After some careless play in the Start FC defense, Stefan Rutkowski kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Leonard Cuber. The Start FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Leonard Cuber should have stopped the shot. In the 44th minute of the game Juliusz Kowalski made a throw-in which Michal Balonek played forward.

With a little luck, Start FC's Leonard Cuber got control of the ball when Stefan Rutkowski tried to sneak it across the goal line. Beniamin Marud fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonard Cuber having to interfere. Ksawery Wicherek sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 64 minutes into the match, Start FC's goal looked a bit too open when Beniamin Marud came free, but Leonard Cuber reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leonard Cuber showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Beniamin Marud, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Krzysztof Wydrych sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ksawery Wicherek struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Pankracy Bartochowski didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Start FC. A collision led to United Żarów getting a freekick after 90 minutes play.
