The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Piotr Walczyk recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Piotr Walczyk blasted a shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Damazy Filanowski having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Piotr Walczyk in the 7th minute of play forced Śląsk Wrocław's goalkeeper Damazy Filanowski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Damazy Filanowski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Piotr Walczyk in the 10th minute of the match. 13 minutes into the game, Dąbrowa Górnicza's Piotr Walczyk nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Damazy Filanowski made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Robert McAngus scored 0-2 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Damazy Filanowski, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aureliusz Maurycy in the 19th minute of play forced Śląsk Wrocław's goalkeeper Damazy Filanowski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Dąbrowa Górnicza's Aureliusz Maurycy in the 20th minute got a chance for a shot 20th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Śląsk Wrocław's goalie prevented a goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Witomir Pietrowski during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 21st minute, Witomir Pietrowski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Śląsk Wrocław defense, Robert McAngus kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Damazy Filanowski. The Śląsk Wrocław fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Damazy Filanowski should have stopped the shot. Damazy Filanowski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aureliusz Maurycy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 29 played minutes Śląsk Wrocław got a freekick which was hit by Kajetan Damazki. Damazy Filanowski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Piotr Walczyk in the 33rd minute of the match. Śląsk Wrocław's Damazy Filanowski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robert McAngus in the 37th minute of play. After 38th play minutes Robert McAngus shot 0-4, a short shot which went by Damazy Filanowski and just under the crossbar into goal. Robert McAngus received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Damazy Filanowski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Adam Zagrobelny kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. A collision led to Śląsk Wrocław getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Przemyslaw Kazimierz hit a great ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Witomir Pietrowski to strike the kick off in the second half. Adam Zagrobelny was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 52nd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 53rd minute Aureliusz Maurycy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Damazy Filanowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 55th minute, Śląsk Wrocław's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Piotr Walczyk fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Śląsk Wrocław's Damazy Filanowski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robert McAngus in the 56th minute of play. 58 minutes into the match, Robert McAngus had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Damazy Filanowski. Śląsk Wrocław's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Robert McAngus was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. Damazy Filanowski didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Robert McAngus went, in the 63rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-6 was the resulting score. Aureliusz Maurycy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Damazy Filanowski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 67th minute, Robert McAngus made a precise shot to the right of Damazy Filanowski. Śląsk Wrocław's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-7. In the 71st minute Piotr Walczyk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Damazy Filanowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Damazy Filanowski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Robert McAngus, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Damazy Filanowski made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Piotr Walczyk sent off a good shot on target. In the 75th minute, Piotr Walczyk ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Damazy Filanowski was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-8. Dąbrowa Górnicza's Robin Åkesson has a good shot, but didn't show it this time. The shot went over the crossbar in the 80th minute. In the 84th minute of the match Dąbrowa Górnicza got a corner. Śląsk Wrocław's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Adam Zagrobelny ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Adam Zagrobelny almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Śląsk Wrocław's Damazy Filanowski did a great save. Adam Dziewulski could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Damazy Filanowski made a huge save. Damazy Filanowski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Piotr Walczyk in the 87th minute of the match. With a little luck, Śląsk Wrocław's Damazy Filanowski got control of the ball when Piotr Walczyk tried to sneak it across the goal line. 90 minutes into the match, Adam Dziewulski dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Damazy Filanowski, 0-9. Piotr Walczyk kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Dąbrowa Górnicza played a much better game than Śląsk Wrocław and deserved their victory. The Śląsk Wrocław players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
