Widzew Łódź's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. 44 minutes into the match, Szczepan Kuszczak had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Boguslaw Waselewicz. After 47 minutes of play, Piasecznica SA's Stasio Lichniak made it 1-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Boguslaw Waselewicz was left in no man's land by his defense there! Disappointed in the 1-5 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Szczepan Kuszczak stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Wieslaw Miecznikowski hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Erasmo Mattos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Boguslaw Waselewicz was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. With a little luck, Widzew Łódź's Boguslaw Waselewicz got control of the ball when Szczepan Kuszczak tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 63rd minute Szczepan Kuszczak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Boguslaw Waselewicz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Adam Buksa ran back to his position shaking his head. Boguslaw Waselewicz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Boguslaw Olejniczak in the 80th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Boguslaw Olejniczak got free with Boguslaw Waselewicz in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Adam Buksa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erasmo Mattos in the 87th minute of play forced Widzew Łódź's goalkeeper Boguslaw Waselewicz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Boguslaw Waselewicz came out of the goal in the 88th minute to try and stop a shot by Piasecznica SA's Erasmo Mattos. But to his dismay, Erasmo Mattos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-7. Piasecznica SA's Gustaw Buczak was substituted for Alfred Budacz. The Widzew Łódź fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Piasecznica SA were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
