The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Bernhard Alt made an important save on a dangerous shot by Anders Bruvoll in the 3rd minute. KS Portowiec's Bernhard Alt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thorbjørn Kasin in the 5th minute of play. 11 minutes into the game, Anders Bruvoll cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Bernhard Alt was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Kim Friberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Laerte Mota in the 14th minute of the match. A collision led to Kraakmo getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Chris Wie hit a great ball. Peder Wolden fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kim Friberg having to interfere. Kim Friberg had in the 24thth minute some difficulties stopping Peder Wolden's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. With his leg Bernhard Alt managed to avoid a goal in the 29thth minute, when Kraakmo's Anders Bruvoll fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When KS Portowiec's Peder Wolden in the 32nd minute got a chance for a shot 32nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The Kraakmo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kim Friberg should have stopped the shot. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

Kim Friberg was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Daniel Hinna. A collision led to Kraakmo getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Chris Wie hit a great ball. When Peder Wolden came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the KS Portowiec fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Peder Wolden couldn't finish the play. Peder Wolden's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 56thth minute, Kim Friberg skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The supporters of KS Portowiec booed when Kraakmo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anders Bruvoll didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kai Andersen in the 62nd minute of play forced KS Portowiec's goalkeeper Bernhard Alt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 74 minutes, Jim-André Knutsen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. KS Portowiec's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jim-André Knutsen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 76th minute, Thorbjørn Kasin made a precise shot to the right of Bernhard Alt. KS Portowiec's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. 81 minutes into the game, Helge Ulven threw the ball into play from the sideline. KS Portowiec's Jim-André Knutsen quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Peder Wolden might have been able to make a better finish in the 82nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kim Friberg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Peder Wolden ran back to his position shaking his head. After some careless play in the Kraakmo defense, Peder Wolden kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kim Friberg. The Kraakmo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kim Friberg should have stopped the shot. KS Portowiec's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Kraakmo had won, even though KS Portowiec had held more of the ball.
