Thomas Nysted might have been able to make a better finish in the 10th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Stig-Inge Kittelsen. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Thomas Nysted ran back to his position shaking his head. When Sjur Tollefsen fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored The Reindeers FC's protests and gave Sjur Tollefsen a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Dønski FK booed when The Reindeers FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sjur Tollefsen didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 18th minute of the match Torjus Juliussen sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Runar Bu skillfully saved the ball. 19 minutes into the game, The Reindeers FC's Otto Skogmo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Stig-Inge Kittelsen made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Stig-Inge Kittelsen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Otto Skogmo's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. Otto Skogmo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Stig-Inge Kittelsen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sven Henriksen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Sven Henriksen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stig-Inge Kittelsen having to interfere. Dønski FK's Stig-Inge Kittelsen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sven Henriksen in the 43rd minute of play. In the 45th minute, Sven Henriksen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Philip Lunde made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Sjur Tollefsen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stig-Inge Kittelsen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Sven Henriksen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Dønski FK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Stig-Inge Kittelsen should have stopped the shot. After having played for 71 minutes, Sven Henriksen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The Reindeers FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sven Henriksen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Otto Skogmo in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Stig-Inge Kittelsen saved Dønski FK from getting behind. After 77 minutes of play, The Reindeers FC's Thomas Nysted made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Stig-Inge Kittelsen was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Otto Skogmo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 82nd minute, Roar Butt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, The Reindeers FC's Kenneth Torvund got a free kick in the 83rd minute. When the match had gone on for 86 minutes, Sven Henriksen put it in 7-0 from a short distance just to the right of Stig-Inge Kittelsen. When Sjur Tollefsen came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the The Reindeers FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sjur Tollefsen couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Dønski FK's zone, Sven Henriksen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Stig-Inge Kittelsen came out of the goal and Sven Henriksen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Sjur Tollefsen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 94th minute, Thomas Nysted left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The The Reindeers FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 8-0. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. The Reindeers FC had played much better football throughout.
