Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Cato Brunborg blasted a shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kai-Arne Barka having to make a save. 11 minutes into the match, Øvre Årdal's goalkeeper Kai-Arne Barka had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Henrik Buvik. In the 12th minute the ball was on its way in behind Øvre Årdal's goalkeeper Kai-Arne Barka, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Snorre Rakvåg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ståle Ervik showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jøran Velle in the 19th minute of the match. 22 minutes into the match, Øvre Årdal's goal looked a bit too open when Cato Brunborg came free, but Kai-Arne Barka reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Cato Brunborg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice moves Alex Ophus could shoot a difficult shot in the 32nd minute, which Kai-Arne Barka however easily saved by the left post. Henrik Buvik hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Jonathan Hoseth kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. 40 minutes into the game, Espen Harestad was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Øvre Årdal's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rekvik the free kick. After 40 played minutes Øvre Årdal got a freekick which was hit by Espen Harestad. Sindre Hagberg shot from long distance in the 41st minute, but Kai-Arne Barka was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. 43 minutes had been played when some careless play by Øvre Årdal's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Sindre Hagberg was slow to take the kick. During this time Rekvik's players had a chance to rest. Lars Fuglestad sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jøran Velle to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Rekvik's goalkeeper Ståle Ervik, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 55 minutes, Alexander Salbu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Øvre Årdal and the Rekvik players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 55th minute, Alexander Salbu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 57 minutes into the match, Henrik Buvik notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Øvre Årdal's Kai-Arne Barka. Kai-Arne Barka was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Bent Kalvik recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Espen Harestad was shown his second yellow card after 66 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After a rather tough play, Øvre Årdal's Espen Harestad got a free kick in the 66th minute. Sindre Hagberg took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 71st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Kai-Arne Barka. Øvre Årdal's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Henrik Buvik sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rekvik's Cato Brunborg got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 77th minute, Henrik Buvik got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cato Brunborg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kai-Arne Barka having to interfere. In the 85th minute, Øvre Årdal's Kim-André Nordal seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Kim-André Nordal the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Øvre Årdal protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Kim-André Nordal had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee gave Rekvik a penalty, 87 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Sindre Hagberg, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Øvre Årdal's Kai-Arne Barka. 2-0. If Cato Brunborg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Kai-Arne Barka came out of the goal in the 94th minute to try and stop a shot by Rekvik's Henrik Buvik. But to his dismay, Henrik Buvik quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Kai-Arne Barka took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Henrik Buvik, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Rekvik fully deserved thier win.
