The Fauskan fans' excitement grew in the 8th match minute when Fauskan's Christian Lundquist looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Daniel Gjelsten recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alex Fylling fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raymond Østreng having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Fauskan's zone, Frode Sellæg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dan Vagle came out of the goal and Frode Sellæg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Fauskan booed when Rosendal I.l was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anton Langaas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Christian Lundquist charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Christian Lundquist the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After having played for 37 minutes, Daniel Gjelsten managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rosendal I.l's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Gjelsten was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Fauskan getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Amund Eik hit a great ball. Raymond Østreng made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alex Fylling in the 44th minute of play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alex Fylling was the one to do the kick off. If Alex Fylling had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Gjelsten in the 59th minute of play forced Fauskan's goalkeeper Dan Vagle to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpected shot in the 63rd minute by Alex Fylling got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Christian Lundquist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute.
