When the match clock showed 4 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Nils-Johan Sandbæk sped through Greipstad's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Robert Frøland. Kenneth Stray fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Espen Hasund having to interfere. Nils-Johan Sandbæk took the ball and in the 13 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Robert Frøland. Robert Frøland dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. 19 minutes into the match, Meget Bedre's goal looked a bit too open when Kenneth Stray came free, but Espen Hasund reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The corner ended in Arve Buan almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Meget Bedre's Espen Hasund did a great save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kenneth Stray in the 28th minute of play forced Meget Bedre's goalkeeper Espen Hasund to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Anton Roen hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. If Nils-Johan Sandbæk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 36 played minutes, Meget Bedre's Carl-Rune Nordrum shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Robert Frøland came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Meget Bedre reached it. Robert Frøland took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nils-Johan Sandbæk, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 44 minutes, Hugo Hansen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Meget Bedre's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hugo Hansen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kenneth Stray in the 46th minute of play forced Meget Bedre's goalkeeper Espen Hasund to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 47th match minute, Meget Bedre was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kyrre Bryne to maneuver through the defense. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Kenneth Stray to make the kick off. With his leg Robert Frøland managed to avoid a goal in the 53rdth minute, when Meget Bedre's Nils-Johan Sandbæk fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Valdemar Kvarme managed to get in a good position for a shot. Meget Bedre's supporters rose to their feet, but Valdemar Kvarme was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Robert Frøland breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 57th minute, Hugo Hansen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 63rd match minute, Greipstad was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kenneth Stray to maneuver through the defense. Nils-Johan Sandbæk in the 64thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Robert Frøland, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Jon Bjørkås's late challenge caught a Greipstad's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Stian Gaup during the 72nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Greipstad's Robert Frøland played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eivind Austbø in the 76th minute of play. 80 minutes into the match, Hugo Hansen dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Robert Frøland, 0-4. Nils-Johan Sandbæk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Eivind Austbø managed to get in a good position for a shot. Meget Bedre's supporters rose to their feet, but Eivind Austbø was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Robert Frøland breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 94 minutes into the match, Greipstad's goal looked a bit too open when Nils-Johan Sandbæk came free, but Robert Frøland reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Greipstad fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Meget Bedre were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
