Spectators: 7679 (Terracing: 5760, Seating: 1766, VIP seats: 153) Espen Sølvberg started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After 4 played minutes Grytöra got a freekick which was hit by Håkon Harstad. Inge Dahl's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Johannes Steinnes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. If Vegard Sæternes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arve Hjelde kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Johannes Steinnes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jim Berland's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. Oliver Heggernes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Per Fossmark made a huge save. In the 26th minute, Asbjørn Framnes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Grytöra's Atle Røkenes tried to score from far away in the 27th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Espen Sølvberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Per Fossmark having to interfere. After having played for 39 minutes, Inge Dahl managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Grytöra's supporters crossed their fingers, but Inge Dahl was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Johannes Steinnes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Inge Dahl in the 42nd minute of the match. Jim Berland sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 45 minutes of play, Grytöra's Inge Dahl made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Johannes Steinnes was left in no man's land by his defense there! After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Inge Dahl to strike the kick off in the second half. Johannes Steinnes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jim Berland in the 51st minute. 57 minutes into the game, Vegard Sæternes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Per Fossmark was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 64th minute, Gapende Gafler's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Runar Engeseth fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Arve Hjelde kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. After having played for 69 minutes, Espen Sølvberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. When Inge Dahl fell near the penalty area in the 75th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Grytöra's protests and gave Inge Dahl a yellow card for diving instead. In the 78th minute, Gapende Gafler's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Jim Berland fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. If Jim Berland had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Asbjørn Framnes's late challenge caught a Grytöra's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Asbjørn Framnes helped the player get up and apologised. Jim Berland received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Johannes Steinnes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jim Berland sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Gapende Gafler fans cheered their team off the field, for while Grytöra had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
