When Per Løvik, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 24 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Mats Bergem was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. After 25 minutes, Roar Haugum mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Forde and the Gjerdneset BF players grew even worse after the yellow card. Roar Haugum hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Espen Grønås showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adam Buvik in the 28th minute of the match. In the 37thth minute of the game Adam Buvik who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gjerdneset BF's Espen Grønås was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Per Løvik recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 49th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Per Løvik made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd match minute, Forde was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roar Haugum to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Carl Ahlsen in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Espen Grønås saved Gjerdneset BF from getting behind. Gjerdneset BF's Espen Grønås played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adam Buvik in the 63rd minute of play. Carl Ahlsen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Espen Grønås having to interfere. Carl Ahlsen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Adam Buvik had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 88th minute, Cornelius Gjerdingen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. During the 95th minute of the match Roar Haugum completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Roar Haugum a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 96th match minute, Forde was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roar Haugum to maneuver through the defense. 98 minutes into the match, Gjerdneset BF's Per Løvik sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mats Bergem narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Forde had won after a very even match.
