Espen Øen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eilert Lura in the 5th minute of play. After 7 minutes of play, Hippopotamus Amphibius FC's David Langedal made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Espen Øen was left in no man's land by his defense there! Anders Sætra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Espen Øen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Olsborg booed when Hippopotamus Amphibius FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eilert Lura didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind Hippopotamus Amphibius FC's goalkeeper Alexander Sigurdsen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Hippopotamus Amphibius FC's zone, Max Einan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alexander Sigurdsen came out of the goal and Max Einan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hippopotamus Amphibius FC's Alexander Sigurdsen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Hippopotamus Amphibius FC from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Hippopotamus Amphibius FC getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Bård Bjørgum hit a great ball. Anders Sætra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Espen Øen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 30 minutes into the match, Hippopotamus Amphibius FC's Eilert Lura sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Espen Øen narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 32 played minutes Olsborg got a freekick which was hit by Ragnar Nordskog. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eilert Lura in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Espen Øen saved Olsborg from getting behind. If Max Einan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Espen Øen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anders Sætra, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eilert Lura was the one to do the kick off. If Ragnar Nordskog had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alexander Sigurdsen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Markus Kolås in the 54th minute of the match. Eilert Lura sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Anders Sætra blasted a shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Espen Øen having to make a save. After 74 played minutes Olsborg got a freekick which was hit by Ragnar Nordskog. Hippopotamus Amphibius FC's Eilert Lura got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Markus Kolås had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eilert Lura recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bård Bjørgum sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Anders Sætra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Espen Øen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Markus Kolås fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexander Sigurdsen having to interfere. The Olsborg supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Hippopotamus Amphibius FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Hippopotamus Amphibius FC.
