When Gunnar Øye came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the Kjellsea fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gunnar Øye couldn't finish the play. If Gunnar Øye had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Anders Gudbrandsen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arvid Lindstrøm, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Kjellsea's Anders Gudbrandsen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jørn Abrahamsen in the 15th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arvid Lindstrøm in the 16th minute of play forced Kjellsea's goalkeeper Anders Gudbrandsen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 22nd minute, Jørn Abrahamsen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 23 minutes into the game, Gustav Friis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kjellsea's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Karnes IL the free kick. In the 23rd match minute, Kjellsea was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gustav Friis to maneuver through the defense. With an all-out effort, Karnes IL's Anders Gudbrandsen threw himself towards the right post 26 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Jørn Abrahamsen, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Anders Gudbrandsen was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Arvid Lindstrøm showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 29 minute of play. Andreas Høyvik showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gunnar Øye, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. The referee felt a red card was in order, 34 minutes into the game, when Alex Krohn put in a rough tackle. Alex Krohn kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Anders Gudbrandsen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tor-Andre Ottem in the 36th minute. Erland Aurstad hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Karnes IL's goalkeeper Andreas Høyvik, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gunnar Øye recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Kjellsea getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Gustav Friis hit a great ball. Anders Gudbrandsen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jørn Abrahamsen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

In the 52nd minute, Gunnar Øye got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. During the 57th minute of the match Gustav Friis completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Gustav Friis a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Karnes IL's Paul Stavrum was substituted for Erland Aurstad. Gustav Friis hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. In the 62nd minute, Arvid Lindstrøm ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Anders Gudbrandsen was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Anders Gudbrandsen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paul Stavrum in the 65th minute of play. Paul Stavrum scored 3-0 in the 66th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Anders Gudbrandsen, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 71 minutes into the match, Kjellsea's goal looked a bit too open when Paul Stavrum came free, but Anders Gudbrandsen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Anders Gudbrandsen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Henrik Konradsen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 73 minutes into the match, Arvid Lindstrøm had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Anders Gudbrandsen. Kjellsea's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Arvid Lindstrøm was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. In the 78th minute Paul Stavrum shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anders Gudbrandsen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Anders Gudbrandsen didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Arvid Lindstrøm went, in the 80th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, Kjellsea's Stig Kvalnes got a free kick in the 84th minute. Anders Gudbrandsen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Tande in the 85th minute of play. In the 87th minute, Paul Stavrum got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Anders Gudbrandsen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arvid Lindstrøm, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. In the 96th minute, Paul Stavrum left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Karnes IL fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. When the referee ended the match the Karnes IL players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
